2nd MINORITIES MEETING

Second minority meeting was organized by SGRHF on Tuesday 18th September 2012 at Avari Hotel. People belonging to all religions participated. The meeting was addressed by twelve guests. The guests were Sardar Sham Singh (Head of Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee), Dr. Munawar Chand, Ashok Ram (student), Pandit Kashi Ram (Pundit Krishna Mandir), Mr. Ehsan Nadeem (Director DSRCF), Amjad Chisti, Sardar Bishan Singh, Sardar Mastan Singh, Mr. Ahmed Ali Chaudary, Masoom Naqvi, Sardar Gopi Singh, Bishan Lal. Director of SGRHF gave a welcome address and opened the discussion. He stressed that the Hindus who have migrated will be brought back at any cost.

Dr. Munawar Chand, Ashok Ram and others showed complete satisfaction. They were of the view that minorities enjoy full protection and freedom in celebrating their religious festivals from the day of Independence till today. Minorities are, in general, satisfied with the government regarding support to solve their problems at priority. Mr. Kashi Ram and Mr. Eshan Nadeem were of the view that Sindh problem i.e. migration of Hindus from Pakistan was due to external instigation. Feudal lords treat them equally; minorities are given more rights than the majorities. This matter can be solved by sending delegation of both minority and majority and having dialogue with them and end propaganda. Those who are conspiring against Pakistan will be brought to the scene. Sardar Mustan Singh said those people who say that minorities have no protection should come and see. Here there are all sorts of protection and freedom. All the members of the meeting condemned the blasphemous film which hurt everybody and demand serious probes in this matter. They urged America to punish and imprison the priest who made these blasphemous sketches. America is wrong we protest against him. Sardar Gopi Singh said after surveying many countries he has come to the conclusion that only in Pakistan minorities enjoy freedom.

In the end Mr. Zahid Bukhari congratulated and thanked the organizer for conduction 2nd meeting and promise to solve all problems which are pin-pointed in the 1st and 2nd meeting. He spoke and praised the vision of Quaid-e-Azam that minorities play a vital role in the progress of Pakistan.
