Diwali Celebration at Krishna Mandar Lahore
Diwali festival was celebrated on Thursday 23rd October 2014 at Krishna Mandar, Ravi road,Lahore. On this occasion Krishna Mandar and its adjacent buildings were decorated with colourful lights. The people of Hindu community celebrated the Diwali festival in their traditional way and offered religious rituals with zeal and fervor. Chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board SiddiqulFarooq, Additional Secretary shrine Khalid Ali, Deputy Secretary Shrine AzherSulehri,Board members,Staff of Sir Ganga Ram Heritage Foundation, Chairman Pakistan Hindu welfare Council Munawar Chand. Christen minority leader MNA Kamran Michael along with representative of other religion and different social workers were participated. AzherSulehrihosted the programme and welcomed all the guests. Chairman siddiqulFarooq while addressing a vast gathering said Diwali is a symbol of success of justice and defeat of oppression. On this occasion candle were lit to express aim of ending darkness. He further said all minorities inhabitant of Pakistan are safe, Muslim have special feeling and love for them that’s why today we are together and celebrating. He was of the view that we have to strengthen Hindu-Muslim friendship so that country can progress and prosper, May God fulfill our mission.DrMunawar Chand said that the participation of Chairman Evacuee Trust Property board has made our Diwali festival celebration co memorable the steps taken by him prove that our hopes will be fulfilled and our important problems will be solved.Board member of Evacuee Trust Property Board PervaizJohn sarroya, Ayesha Hamid, Ramesh Singh Arora and ChamanSardarone by one wished Happy Diwali and thanked Chairman and his team for beautiful Diwali arrangements they also praised government for allocation of more than ten million rupees for renovation of religious places of minorities.
