Muzaffarnagar: Dalit woman relieves herself in field, thrashed
A 25-year-old Dalit woman was allegedly beaten up by a farmer for relieving herself in his sugarcane field in Bhens village here, the police said on Friday.
The woman had come to attend a wedding in the area.
Members of the community blocked the Delhi-Dehradun highway near the village, demanding the arrest of the farmer, Circle Officer Hari Ram said.
The accused has been taken into custody and a probe initiated, police added.
