The girl was the owner of a beauty parlour in Mohanpura locality under the Raquabganj police circle.

On Sunday afternoon, the girl’s brother called Shiv Kumar to the beauty parlour to discuss and clear up a few matters.

“The girl was not in the parlour when Shiv reached there. Her brother and father pulled him inside the parlour and locked the doors”, Naresh Kumar, an eye witness told mediapersons.

“After 15 minutes we saw Shiv running out of the parlour engulfed in flames. We then informed the police,” Naresh added.

According to sources, the brother tried to convince Shiv to end the relationship, but as he refused to agree, both of them tied him to a chair and poured kerosene on him. He was then set on fire.

“We have received a complaint from Shiv’s family and have also arrested the duo. Further investigations are on. Shiv is in critical condition,” Samir Saurabh, SP (city) Agra said.
