Durga Puja 2019 at Shri Karishna Mandir, Lahore

Durga Puja was held in Shri Karishna Mandir, Lahore on 6^th October 2019. Durga Puja started at 8 PM and ended at 10 PM, around 70 to 80 members of Hindu community participated in the event which includes children, women and men.

Welcome and Happy Durga Puja banners from Sir. Ganga Ram Heritage Foundation were displayed inside of Mandir.

Director Sir Ganga Ram Heritage Foundation (SGRHF) along with Admin Officer participated in Durga Puja. Director SGRHF presented flower bouquets along with sweets as Parsad to the Hindu community leader Dr. Manohar Chand.

At 8:15 PM, Puja started with traditional Hindu Vadic Ashlok then Havan took place, after that all the members stood up for Arthi and in the end with Prathana the Puja was completed.

At last of the event, Director SGRHF distributed Saropas (Shawls) one by one to the Nine Ladies who voluntarily provided food at each of the Navaratri nights to the Karishna Mandir for its devotees. Then sweets as parasad was distributed and event culminated with serving langar to the participants.

Sir Ganga Ram Heritage Foundation (SGRHF) is an NGO established in Lahore, Pakistan 2005. It is, indeed, an intellectual initiative to promote social justice, protect the rights of religious minorities and uplift the suppressed sections of society in South Asian region. The Executive Body of SGRHF decided to promote the philosophy of Sir Ganga Ram & Dr. B. R. Ambedkar as Champion of Humanism in South Asia. SGRHF is annually organizing an international seminar on Sir Ganga Ram & Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
